Stills from a little film I'm working on, called "The Local Patriot part 1 - The Fleet". The boats are made from carved pine bark and the sails are decorated with old cross stitch symbols from Värmland, where I come from. It's about origin, identity, pride, disappointment and nostalgia - and at the same time a homage to my childhood games.

I am making cross stitched sails for my bark boats, and also working on a small animation where I launch them in water...

School's out for the summer. I have had something like a week off, it feels. Walks in the forest, numerous picknicks, a day trip to Oslo, swimming in lakes, parties... I like it.


And, from now on I blog in English. No turning back.
